陈晓彬
Vice Chair, Asia-Pacific Young Entrepreneurs Forum; Young Global Leader, World Economic Forum
Ben Chen is a partner at an AI and Web3 investment fund, Vice Chair of the Asia-Pacific Young Entrepreneurs Forum, a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, a council member of a national youth international-exchange platform, and a member of the Shanghai Climate Week Youth Committee. He graduated from Columbia University with degrees in economics and psychology.
His commitment to the environment began in high school, when he led a team that wrote a proposal on urban waste sorting and won China’s first national youth mock CPPCC competition. He was named a Green Ambassador by the Cultural and Education Section of the British Consulate, and won third prize in a national water-technology competition, the national title in the British Consulate’s Green Campus Action, and a bronze medal at the Nuremberg International Invention Exhibition. The environmental society he founded was the only high-school case included in the China Youth Sustainable Development Action Report, which was released at the UN Climate Change Conference.
While studying in the United States, he worked on education equity, judicial fairness and environmental protection, and held leading roles in several non-profit organizations. After Columbia, he joined the investment banking division of CICC, advising state-owned and large private enterprises on capital markets.
Today, alongside his work with social organizations and public-interest projects, he is building his career in international trade, finance and new energy.
